Beyond the label

Amandla, meaning “power within us” in the local Zulu dialect, is a one-of-a-kind venture run entirely by Black women in South Africa. Their Amandla “Our Future” Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp and mouthwatering showcase of passion fruit, pineapple and lemon flavors that celebrates the vibrancy of Black culture.

Praisy Dlamini is the brilliant winemaker behind the bottle and the winery. With 15 vintages under her belt—including time at the historic Zonnebloem estate—she was the first woman in the Cape Winemakers Guild and her Amandla wines have been making waves since their debut in 2023. (The Drinks Business gave the venture its Best Launch of the Year award at the time.) Now, Amandla is making its U.S. debut and you have access to their top white wine...

Sourced from vineyards throughout the Western Cape, it's sleek and lively, with opulent fruit accented by bright citrus. Praisy recommends enjoying it alongside chicken satay, corn fritters and spicy beef sliders—and always among friends.

Order your share today and you'll not only have a wonderful wine—you'll also be supporting boutique winemakers who put their heart and soul into crafting every single bottle.
