Ciccio Grillo 2024

Flavor Profile
Sicily is a winemaker’s paradise off the boot of Italy's mainland, and we're excited to bring you the mouthwatering Ciccio Grillo. Thanks to the island's rugged slopes, and being so close to the Mediterranean, the ‘air conditioning’ from sea breezes and plentiful sunshine help produce wonderfully ripe, healthy grapes. Growers there are very proud of their native grapes, one of which is Grillo. This is the star of Ciccio (pronounced chee-chi-oh)—the nickname for the winemaker Francesco Asaro. Gently handled and softly pressed, the Grillo grape makes a delicate, refreshing white with notes of pear and melon and a lift of sage and white pepper. Chill down a bottle and serve with antipasti, grilled fish or salads.
