When our California expert, Kristina, tasted Currant Bun, she was instantly reminded of its namesake (a classic British dessert pastry, made with currants and baking spices). Currant Bun hails from Lodi, “one of the top wine regions in the country,” where winemakers “have quietly started producing some of the state’s best wines” (vinepair.com), wherre heat and ubandant sunshine produce grapes with ripe, concentrated flavors.
