Beyond the label

If you’re a fan of lush, fruit-rich California reds, then you simply must taste the award-winning GFF Petite Sirah.

Originally from Greece, the Kapiniaris family has brought four generations of winemaking expertise to their boutique estate in sunny California. Their bold Petite Sirah bears the name GFF for the three men who crafted it: father Gus Kapiniaris (below), his son Frank and head winemaker, Franck Lambert.

After selecting the best grapes from the estate’s Lodi vineyards, the talented trio treated the wine to kid-glove care. Look forward to aromas dominated by black cherry and cassis, with hints of ripe pomegranate and well-integrated toast and oak. The deep purple color of the wine is a harbinger of the wine's full body and broad tannins, which are balanced with ripe berry flavors. The finish is smooth and balanced, with a welcome acidity. It will pair beautifully with all manner of meat or poultry, as well as hearty stews, roasted root vegetables and lasagna.

The Kapiniaris family pride themselves on their quality reputation, and we think this Petite Sirah is an impressive addition to their range.
