Beyond the Label

New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is one of the world’s (and our customers’) most beloved whites. And Hole in the Clouds, with its vibrant tropical fruit tones matched by citrus and cut-grass nuances, is one you simply must taste.

It hails from the Rose family of winegrowers, who are behind a handful of New Zealand wine labels. Led by Wine Marlborough Lifetime Achievement Award winner Phil Rose, they were one of the first producers to plant in the Golden Mile (the Marlborough region’s original and best vineyard strip). The estate that produces this particular wine lies in the Kei Puta Te Wairau valley, which means ‘hole in the clouds’ in the local Maori dialect. The name speaks to the valley’s beautiful landscape, marked by brilliant sunshine, regal mountains and the ever-changing sea.

Look forward to leap-from-the-glass tropical fruit, plus fresh grapefruit and lemon flavors, and green, herbal characters. Whether you enjoy a glass on its own or with food (goat cheese, shellfish or salads would all be tasty), this vibrant white is sure to let the sunshine through.

There’s been skyrocketing demand for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc over the past couple years, so secure your share of this thrilling release while you can.
