Julien Revillon Fleurie 2021
Wine Details
Flavor Profile
“Wines from [Beaujolais’s] crus can stand against many fine Burgundies, and at a fraction of the price.”
Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
We love introducing folks to cru Beaujolais—especially all our Pinot Noir fans. They’re silky, elegant, complex and oh-so-food friendly. And, when you see Fleurie on the label, you know you’re in for a treat. Renowned for their intense, lovely perfume, the age-worthy wines from this village are well worth seeking out.
We happen to be good friends with (the highly decorated) 14th-generation winemaker Dominique Piron, so you get exclusive access to this one—if you’re quick.
La Revue du Vin, France’s top wine magazine, calls Dominique “a perfectionist whose wines merit the interest of fans in search of ample Beaujolais,” and his peers even voted him in as President of Inter Beaujolais, the region’s trade body, in July 2016. He also makes one heck of a Fleurie.
“This is a lovely expression of Fleurie … 92 points.”
That’s expert Jamie Goode’s take on a previous release. And this 2021 edition is every bit as impressive. You’re in for a silky-smooth, gorgeously aromatic red with trademark floral notes of violet blossom, plus juicy red fruits, black currant and cracked pepper.
Perfect for warm weather sipping or for kicking back with a hearty meal in the fall (Thanksgiving especially), Julien Revillon is a seriously versatile, classy wine you need to have on your wine rack. Secure your share today.
