Flavor Profile
Made by the quality-obsessed team at Château La Clarière, Le Rosé de La Clarière Bordeauxb> is a light and limber, citrus-accented pink Bordeaux that upends any preconceived notions about the region’s rosé production.
The area’s red blends are some of the world’s most famous wines. Then, there’s the region’s cult whites like Pavillon de Margaux, which goes for $300+ per bottle. And yet, there’s never been a collectible Bordeaux rosé of the same caliber.
While rosé is produced throughout Bordeaux, most is light and somewhat fruity, and not really worth talking about. Which eventually prompted La Clarière founder Tony Laithwaite to wonder…well, why not?
Produced in tiny quantities—and typically snapped up quickly—the rosé is a blend of hand-picked Cabernet Franc and Merlot that sees a short, cool maceration. A vibrant pink hue, it has equally vibrant flavors, bursting with fresh lemon and summer berry tones that play out across a long finish.
This is likely to sell out fast…early orders encouraged.
