Flavor Profile
“Vouvray is the most famous and respected appellation” of the Touraine region in France’s Loire Valley. It’s also considered by many wine enthusiasts to offer the world’s finest expression of Chenin Blanc, its signature grape variety. We’re proud to bring you a truly exceptional example in Les Héritiers Dubois Vouvray.
This elegant Vouvray was crafted by fourth-generation winemaker Noël Bougrier (below), whose family has produced top-notch wines in the Loire since 1885. Noël selected the best Chenin Blanc grapes from his family’s sustainably farmed vineyards. In the winery, he cool fermented the juice to preserve its fresh fruit flavors then aged the wine on its lees to impart a subtle richness.
Look forward to intense aromas of ripe stone fruits and citrus, hints of minerality and a kiss of sweetness on the finish. The wine’s vibrancy is balanced by its lovely weight, making it an ideal aperitif or a delicious match for seafood, white meats, goat cheese and more.
Noël says the goal of his Les Héritiers Dubois range is to produce beautiful, subtle, gourmet wines—and he’s succeeded deliciously here. First come, first served for this fine Vouvray.
