Beyond the label

The Luciani family has been crafting fine wines in Tuscany since 1888, so they’re drawing on generations of expertise to bring you this gorgeous Brunello di Montalcino. It’s crafted at their renowned family estate, which lies next door to iconic Biondi-Santi (whose famous Brunello will cost you $240+ per bottle). But since the Lucianis aren’t as well-known...yet...their lovely Brunello is an absolute steal by comparison.

Thanks to a phenomenal growing season, the latest release offers everything critics love about Brunello. The 2018 vintage was a classic one for the region, producing wines that “move flowingly across the palate,” writes respected critic Lisa Perrotti-Brown. She goes on to note that, “the best 2018s have a beautiful range of aromas and a better quality of tannins. They have great vivacity, luminosity and harmony.”

Aged 36 months in premium Italian botti and French barriques, the Luciani family’s 2018 Brunello arrives with multiple 90+ point scores from leading critics. Expert Raffaele Vecchione rated it 93 points and gave it this delectable tasting note: “Beautiful from the start. Medium to full bodied, rounded and tasty with a very elegant, splendidly lively closure.”

This is definitely a bottle to pour for a special occasion. Whenever you’re ready, enjoy it alongside hearty roasted meats, creamy risottos and more. It has decades of pleasure ahead of it.

Between the major acclaim and the Luciani family’s quality-focused approach, it should come as no surprise that we have very limited cases of this beautiful Brunello. First come, first served.
