Beyond the label

Tuscany produces some of Italy’s (and the world’s) finest reds, like iconic Brunello di Montalcino. Of course, these sought-after wines come with the price tags to match. If you’re looking for a great-value alternative to pricey Brunello, give Rosso di Montalcino a try.

Francesco and Mario Luciani crafted this gorgeous example at their renowned family estate, which dates back to 1888 and is located mere yards from ultra-famous Biondi Santi (whose Brunellos fetch $100s a bottle). The Luciani family’s Brunellos have earned heaps of praise from both critics and our customers, which is why we’re so pleased to offer you their Rosso di Montalcino.

The Luciani team hand harvested the best Sangiovese from the family’s vineyards then aged the wine for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Look forward to elegant cherry, cinnamon and licorice notes, plus a balance and freshness that make this fine red an ideal choice for an Italian-style feast.

Rosso di Montalcino is a true Tuscan specialty, and the Luciani family has drawn on generations of expertise to craft this beautiful red. First come, first served.
