Beyond the Label

NPR aired the first broadcast of its afternoon news show, All Things Considered, on May 3, 1971. Since then, NPR has been a trusted news source, cultural commentator, and provider of countless driveway moments for millions of Americans. Inspired by NPR’s rich history, this Vintage NPR Reserva is ready for your next dinner table moment.

Who better to craft the wine than an estate with an equally storied history? Founded in the early 19th century, Casa Santos Lima has been at the forefront of Portugal’s wine revolution and earned heaps of praise along the way. According to the World Ranking of Wine & Spirits, Casa Santos Lima is the world’s third most acclaimed estate, and its wines have won over 1,000 medals since 2014 (with over half being gold medals).

And head winemaker Diogo Sepúlveda pulled out all the stops for this luxurious Reserva. It marries Touriga Nacional (great grape of Port) with berry-packed Syrah, inky-dark Alicante Bouschet, and cherry-rich Tinta Roriz (aka, Tempranillo). Look forward to vibrant dark berry and peppery spice flavors, plus a luscious, full-bodied palate. Perfect for pairing with burgers, pork, or hearty chilis.

As with most wines of this caliber, Vintage NPR Reserva is a limited-production release. Hurry to secure your taste of NPR history.
