Beyond the label

A peacock displays his feathers when it’s time to impress, and this luscious California Viognier aims to wow in equal measure. Named after the “eye” pattern on peacock feathers, Ocellus hails from Lodi, “one of the top wine regions in the country,” where winemakers “have quietly started producing some of the state’s best wines” (vinepair.com).

When you taste it, you’ll wonder why winemakers ever strayed from Viognier. (Until about 20 years ago, the grape was down to just a few acres of vines in its native France). Ocellus is an excellent example, as judges at the Sunset International Wine Competition awarded it a silver medal. You can look forward to heady honeysuckle aromas, ripe peach and apricot flavors plus an opulent full body.

Ideal for hearty meals, from roasted white meats to creamy vegetarian dishes. Order yours today.
