Flavor Profile

Beyond the label

“Portugal very likely now offers some of the greatest wine values on the market today,” writes Wine Spectator’s Matt Kramer. And when you taste this dazzling modern white, you’ll see what he means.

To craft Portinho do Côvo, renowned winemaker Jaime Quendera headed to seaside vineyards on the Península de Setúbal, where brilliant sunshine and cool ocean breezes help the grapes ripen to perfection. He selected three native varieties—zingy Verdelho, aromatic Fernão Pires and well-structured Antão Vaz—for this special cuvée.

The results have been impressive. A previous vintage of Portinho do Côvo won a double-gold medal from the China Wine & Spirits Awards—and we expect the elegant 2020 release to earn its own acclaim. With its expressive floral aromas and ripe citrus-fruit flavors, it’s a vibrant match for white fish, lentil salads and more.

Perfect refreshment and amazing value. Order your share now.
