Beyond the label

We’ve worked with Paolo Masi for years now, and his passion for winemaking never fails to impress us—or the critics. “Paolo Masi has made an excellent impression with the estate wines of his family property,” writes Robert Parker. And leading Italian wine guide, Gambero Rosso, praises Paolo’s wines for their “irreproachably clean, fresh fruit and abundant personality.”

Rifronzoli is Paolo’s masterpiece—and his most exclusive red wine ever. It's already been awarded 94 points by Italian critic Luca Maroni, as well as 90 points and a double-gold medal by Gilbert & Gaillard (France's top wine guide). And, if you act quickly, you can be among an elite few to taste it.

The name “Rifronzoli” is an ancient word in the local Tuscan dialect that refers to the area where the Paolo’s oldest and best Sangiovese vines are located, high up in the Apennine foothills at his estate in Chianti’s prized Rufina district. The wine is a luscious Super Tuscan blend of 90% Sangiovese (from those very vines) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon that Paolo aged in his finest barrels for 18 months.

This exquisite Super Tuscan brims with layers of dark cherry and black currant plus subtle floral notes and hints of vanilla spice—and has a well-integrated finish that lingers on the palate. It will be delicious upon release and age marvelously for years to come. Enjoy it alongside classic Tuscan dishes like Bistecca alla Fiorentina or your favorite pastas.

As Paolo’s many fans will know, his wines regularly win 90+ point ratings and gold medals, along with thousands of Favorite clicks and 5-star reviews from our customers. They often sell out quickly, too. Given the care and attention lavished on Rifronzoli, we have very limited cases—hurry to secure yours.
