Beyond the label

Clairet is the original, dark-hued rosé of France’s storied Bordeaux region. Don't be fooled by its dark color! This lovely Clairet is dry, rounded and refreshing (not sweet). Like all great rosé, its juicy flavors pair beautifully with a wide variety of foods and flavors.

Made from 100% Merlot, ROC Clairet is one of our favorite authentic, local discoveries. This is exactly the kind of wine you’ll find the French sipping on a sunny summer day at the café—or all year round, to be honest. Recent polls have shown that the French are now drinking more rosé than red, and it’s pinks like this that are keeping their glasses full.

The grapes for ROC Clairet are grown in an exceptional vineyard just across the river from Saint-Émilion. Thanks to a wide strip of pine trees, the vines enjoy vital protection from Atlantic winds, and produce grapes with optimum ripeness.

Serving tip: Chill the bottle for 15-20 minutes in the fridge to let the wine’s juicy raspberry, strawberry and cassis flavors really shine. It’s sure to win the hearts of red wine and rosé lovers alike.

Sip it on its own or serve it with grilled salmon, richly sauced–BBQ dishes, roasted turkey or chicken, light salads, vegetable quiche and more. Your food-pairing options are endless!

Clairet is the original, dark-hued rosé of France’s storied Bordeaux region.
