Sofia Barbanera’s Saracosa is one of our best-selling, most popular Italian reds. Grateful for such a positive response, she’s crafted this special premium edition. Sofia turned to Tuscany’s historic governo method and allowed a portion of her ripe Sangiovese to air dry for 20 days—this dials the flavor concentration and complexity of the wine way, way up. Adding a dash of Merlot imparts a plummy smoothness, and time aging in oak barrels weaves inviting spice notes throughout.

Look for vibrant red fruits (think strawberry and cherry), plus creamy chocolate raisin and vanilla oak notes.
