But Whale Coast Chardonnay is an exciting new release that proves South Africa produces absolutely fantastic Chardonnay, too. It impressed judges at the Sunset International Wine Competition and won a silver medal.
Talented winemaker Pieter Carstens has over 20 years of winemaking experience and has worked for some of the country’s top wineries. He crafted this elegant Chardonnay with sustainably farmed grapes grown in the renowned Western Cape region. He named it Whale Coast in tribute to the nearby coast, which is a popular whale watching destination.
Look forward to a creamy, rounded palate, with waves of ripe citrus, tropical fruit and vanilla oak. It’s a delicious match for hearty seafood dishes, from lobster tail to seared scallops.
