Beyond the label

On the Camino de Santiago, pilgrims enjoy free sips of red wine from a fountain right outside of the historic Irache winery, which is next door to the local monastery (see the wine fountain in action). But you don’t have to trek all that way to enjoy their heavenly, barrel-aged Crianza.

Irache is nestled in Navarra—the land of running bulls and the immortal setting of Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. Geographically, it’s an exciting wine alley: the famous Rioja region is to the southwest, while France and the Pyrenees are to the northeast. Many fine reds, whites (and even rosés) are made here. And in 2019, Navarra’s great vintage conditions allowed the grapes grow even riper and richer than usual.

Thanks to patient aging in fine oak, Fuente de Irache Crianza has generous red-fruit flavors and subtle baking spice notes, which will pair beautifully with a variety of foods. Try it with everything from pork dishes like jamón serrano to chile rellenos (stuffed and roasted poblano peppers).

Make sure to secure your share of this divine Crianza today.
